October 2025 - Ongoing, Campaigns Officer for Friends of the Lake District​
  • Developing and running campaigns to protect nature and support communities within Lake District National Park.

May 2025 - October 2025, Caving Guide for Canmore Cave Tours
  • Led groups on cave tours in the Canadian Rockies, providing information about local geology, flora and fauna.

April 2024 - April 2025, 
Woodland Trainee for the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust
  • Undertaking training in forestry, woodland management and woodland creation. 
  • Developing baseline surveys for woodlands, and assisting with hay meadow surveys across the Dales. 
  • I have so far undertaken training in: landscape design, woodland management, QGIS, ground flora ID, and grasses ID.

September 2023 – April 2024, Cumbria Community Organiser for Friends of the Earth
  • Supporting a network of local activists, running social media pages for campaigns, and facilitating meetings.
  • Overseeing protests and campaign actions, liaising with police, arranging speakers, conducting risk assessments, and managing logistics.
  • Coordinating press releases, writing articles and contacting local press.

August 2023 – April 2024, Education Officer for Ingleborough Show Cave
  • Provision of educational tours to school groups in Ingleborough Show Cave and the surrounding area.

July 2021 – September 2021, Archivist and Tour Guide at Duart Castle, Isle of Mull
  • Researched and developed an inventory of the castle’s book collection, which is now an exhibit in the Banquet Hall.
  • Provided historical context to visitors regarding the history of Duart Castle, the Isle of Mull and surrounding islands. 

December 2018 – August 2020, Director of UK Student Climate Network Ltd. (Voluntary)
  • Co-ordinated various climate campaigns across the UK and Europe, attending conferences and interviews across the continent.
  • This role also included the running of social media pages; organisation of legal support and distribution of funding.

December 2018 – September 2021, IPPR Environmental Justice Commissioner (Voluntary)
  • Part of a team drafting policies for a fair and equitable transition to a green economy. Final report published 13 July 2021.

Education

2022-2023, University of Cambridge: MPhil Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic Studies (Distinction)
  • Researched subterranean spaces in Early Medieval England.

2019-2022, Newcastle University: BA English Literature and History (First class)
  • With additional modules in linguistics, archaeology and palaeography.
  • Awarded the Cowan, Johnson and Watson Prizes at the end of study for the best overall performance in English Literature & History and best dissertation in English Literature.
